crock pot stew
This is an adoptee recipe. Haven't made it yet, but am looking forward to tasting the interesting combination of things in this dish. Will update when I get a chance to make it. :)

Slow Cooker Crock Pot
Ingredients For crock pot stew

1onion, finely chopped

1/2 tspdry mustard

1 tspchili powder

1.5 tspdried thyme

1/2 Tbspapple cider vinegar

2 tspbrown sugar, dark and firmly packed

1/4 cketchup
-
3/4 cred wine
-
1.5 cbeef broth
-
1 lbround steak, cut into 1" cubes

1/4 clong grain rice
-
1sliced carrots
-
1.5 ccabbage, coarsely shredded

1 lbpotatoes, scrubbed and cut in 3/4" chunks

2minced garlic cloves
-
1/4 tsppepper
How To Make crock pot stew

1In large crockpot, combine onion, garlic, potatoes, cabbage, carrot and rice.

2Add meat.

3In 4-cup measure or similar bowl, stir together broth, wine, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, thyme, chili powder, mustard and black pepper.

4Pour mixture over meat and vegetables.

5Cover crockpot and cook 1 hour on high.

6Stir meat and vegetables into sauce, and cook an additional 6 1/2 to 8 hours on low.
