If I know that our gluten intolerant grandson is coming, I make sure to use gluten free beer and gluten free beef broth. The original recipe uses 2 cans of broth and 2 cans of beer. I use 3 cans of each liquid as I use all of the leftover broth and beef as the base for my vegetable soup. If we are not in the mood for vegetable soup, I use the leftover beef in my chili.

Ingredients For crock pot italian beef

  • 5 lb
    any type of roast
  • 3 can
    beer -i use the cheapest i can find.
  • 3 can
    beef broth
  • 1/2 small jar
    mild banana ring peppers - if you like it spicier, use hotter peppers

How To Make crock pot italian beef

    In a crock pot, place the roast and pour in the 3 cans of beer and 3 cans of beef broth. Add the 1/2 jar of Mild Banana Ring Peppers. Cover and cook for 8 hours or until the beef falls apart. Enjoy
