Ingredients For cowboy hot tamale pie

1.5 lbground beef

1/4 cpimento, chopped

2.5 ccold water

1 tspsalt

1 cyellow cornmeal

3.25 ozblack olives, pitted and drained

1.5 cwhole kernel corn, cooked

1 lbcanned tomatoes, undrained and chopped

1 pkgchili seasoning mix

1 tspseasoned salt

1 tspgarlic clove, minced

1 lgonion, finely chopped

1 ccheddar cheese, shredded
How To Make cowboy hot tamale pie

1Brown ground beef in skillet, breaking up meat with fork.

2Add seasonings and tomatoes; simmer 5 minutes.

3Stir in corn and olives.

4Combine cornmeal, salt and water; cook, stirring, until thick.

5Add pimento.

6Line greased, shallow 2-quart baking dish with part of cornmeal mush.

7Pour in beef mixture and make a border of remaining mush around edge of baking dish.

8Bake at 350 about 40 minutes.

9Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake 5 minutes longer.
