This is my families favorite meat loaf, also the office where I work. Great left over and for sandwiches. Nothing like the "old fashion" meat loaf but very good. I think it is better.

Ingredients For cottage meat loaf

  • 1
    egg
  • 1 lb
    good hamburger
  • 1/2 c
    cottage cheese
  • 1/2
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 c
    celery, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2
    bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 lb
    cheddar cheese, diced

How To Make cottage meat loaf

  • 1
    BEAT EGG AND ADD ALL OTHER INGREDIENTS. MIX WELL (USING YOUR HANDS). SHAPE INTO ONE LARGE LOAF OR 2 SMALLER LOAVES.

    TOPPING:1/2 C CATSUP, 1TBS. PREPARED MUSTARD AND 2 TBSP. BROWN SUGAR. MIX THIS WELL AND SPREAD OVER LOAVES.

    BAKE 350* 1 HOUR COVERED FOR FIRST 30 MINUTES. REMOVE FOIL AND FINISH BAKING.
