My dad absolutely loves meatloaf especially this classic, accept he likes it without the Ketchup (He hates ketchup it reminds him of blood)

Ingredients For classic meatloaf

1 1/2 lbground beef

3eggs lightly beaten

1 mdonion,finely chopped

1 cbread crumbs

1/2 cketchup
-
2 Tbspdijon mustard

1/2 cchopped fresh parsley

1 Tbspfennel seed
-
1 tspdried thyme, marjoram, or oregano

salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
How To Make classic meatloaf

1Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and knead the mixture with your hands until thoroughly combined.

2Transfer the mixture to a 9x5x3-inch (23x13x8 cm) loaf pan or form into a loaf on a baking sheet.

3Bake in a preheated 350F (180C) oven until the center of the loaf reads 160F (70C) on an instant-read thermometer, about 1 to 1 1/4 hours.

4Drain off the excess fat and let stand for 15 minutes before cutting into slices.
