Years ago I went to our Church gathering for a pot luck dinner. My friend brought this crock pot and everyone loved it. Got the recipe from her and have used it ever since. Can also be made on your stove top.

Ingredients For church gathering sweet & sour meatballs

1 1/2 cmilk

1 slicewhite bread, torn into pieces

2 lbhamburger or ground turkey

1 lgegg

2 tspsalt

1/4 tsppepper

1/8 tspgarlic salt

120 ounce can of pineapple chunks

1/2 cchopped green and red peppers

1/2 csugar
-
1/2 tspsalt

2 Tbspcornstarch
-
1 1/2 cpineapple juice plus water to fill the cup

1/4 cwine vinegar
-
1 Tbspsoy sauce
-
4beef bouillon, cubes
How To Make church gathering sweet & sour meatballs

1Mix together the first seven ingredients and shape into bals the size of walnuts.

2In a large skillet brown in 8 tablespoons on shortening until brown on all sides

3Add pineapple, green and red peppers to meat balls and cook until soft

4To make sauce: mix sugar, salt and cornstarch.

5Add vinegar, soy sauce and bouillon cubes

6Heat to boiling and pour over meatballs

7Simmer 20 to 30 minutes on low heat

8Can be place in a crock pot after all is mixed together and cooked and kept on low heat for a pot luck dinner

9Can also be served over your favorite rice
