Ingredients For chow mein casserole

  • 1 lb
    hamburger
  • 1 tsp
    butter
  • 2 tsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 4 oz
    mushrooms
  • 1 can
    chicken and rice soup
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    rice, uncooked
  • 1 1/4 c
    boiling water
  • 3/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 3/4 c
    chopped celery
  • 1 1/2 c
    chow mein noodles

How To Make chow mein casserole

  • 1
    Cook and stir hamburger, celery and onion until hamburger is light brown, then drain.

    Pour water on rice and add salt in greased 2 quart casserole.

    Stir in hamburger, soup, mushrooms, sugar, soy sauce and butter.

    Cover and cook in 350 oven for 30 minutes; stir.

    Cook uncovered for 30 minutes longer.
  • 6
    Stir in noodles, serve immediately.
