Ingredients For chop suey

  • 1 lb
    round steak
  • 1 lb
    pork ham
  • cooking oil
  • 1 stalk
    celery chopped
  • 3 md
    onions, chopped
  • 5 ounces soy sauce
  • 2
    16 ounce cans bean sprouts
  • 2 Tbsp
    molasses
  • flour

How To Make chop suey

  • 1
    cut steak and ham in bite size pieces. salt and pepper, dip in flour, and brown in cooking oil. Add chopped celery, chopped onion, soy sauce, and juice from drained bean sprouts. cook slowly and stir from time to time for about 1 hr. Add bean sprouts, cook about 20 min. mix molasses with enough flour to create a thick consistency. stir into chop suey and cook until thickened. serve over rice
