Ingredients For chinese pepper steak

1 lbflank steak, diagonally sliced

1/2 csoy sauce
-
2 Tbspdry sherry
-
1 Tbspsugar

2 tspcornstarch
-
1/2 cwater

4 Tbsppeanut oil, divided

4 clovegarlic, minced
-
2 tspginger root, peeled and grated

2green onions, chopped
-
1large onion, cut into chunks
-
2green peppers, cut into bite-size pieces

1red pepper, cut into bite-size pieces
How To Make chinese pepper steak

1In a medium bowl, combine, soy sauce, dry sherry, sugar, cornstarch and 1/2 cup water. Marinate steak in liquid mixture for 15 minutes or more.

2Add oil to hot wok. Swirl and stir fry garlic, ginger and scallions for 30 seconds. With slotted spoon, reserving the marinade, add half the steak and stir fry for 3 minutes. Remove and set aside. Repeat with remaining steak.

3Add oil and stir fry onion and green peppers for 2 minutes. Push vegetables to sides of wok. Add marinade to center of wok and stir until thickened and bubbly. Blend in vegetables, add steak and heat thoroughly.
