Ingredients For chili-macaroni skillet

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 sm
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    chopped green pepper
  • 8 oz
    dry macaroni noodles
  • 1 can
    (15 oz.) tomato sauce
  • 1 can
    (15 oz.) diced tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    chili powder

How To Make chili-macaroni skillet

    Combine beef, onion and green pepper in a heavy skillet; cook until beef is browned, stirring to crumble. Drain well.

    Stir in next 6 ingredients. Add 2 soup cans of water. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 20-25 minutes, or until pasta is thoroughly cooked and all liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally. Yield 6 servings

    Add water in half cup intervals if pasta hasn't cooked and too much liquid has absorbed.
