This was given to me by a friend and I added a few things. It is a sweet version of meatloaf with a surprise of cheese inside!

Ingredients For cheddar meatloaf patties

  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    finely shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c
    quick cooking oats
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 2/3 c
    ketchup
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, light
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    yellow mustard
  • 1 c
    chopped onion

How To Make cheddar meatloaf patties

    In a bowl beat together the eggs , milk,and salt & Pepper.

    Stir in the Cheese , oats, chopped onion.

    Add the ground beef to this and mix well. Hand knead it. Shape into small oval loaves. -Place in a greased casserole dish.

    The topping: Combine the ketchup, mustard and brown sugar and stir well. Spread this evenly over each loaf!

    Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour or till meat is not pink.
