Im sure there are many versions of this dish. I learned how to make this dish from my x who was in the USMC and this is how he liked it...

Ingredients For cathy's usmc sos

1 lblean ground beef

3 clovegarlic, minced (less if you dont like garlic)

1 lgonion, diced

2celery stalk, diced

4 Tbspev olive oil

3/4 call purpose flour
-
1 1/2 cevaporated milk or whole milk (2% works too) you can also use 1 cup beef broth and 1/2 cup any milk

1/2 tspworcestershire sauce

salt & pepper or cayenne to taste
How To Make cathy's usmc sos

1In a large skillet over medium heat, add EVOO and let it hit up, add onion and celery together until the onion starts to get golden then add and brown the ground beef.

2Add garlic and cook until fragrant.

3Do not drain beef. Add worcestershire sauce.

4Add flour which should completely absorb any liquid in the pan.

5Then you add your milk (or beef broth & which ever kind of milk if your using that) but keep in mind that the measurements are approximate.

6Season with salt and pepper (to taste) and bring to a boil. Reduce your heat and continue stirring, until you have a nice thick milk gravy.

7Serve over toast, biscuits, noodles, rice, pasta or potatoes.

8Side Note: You can also add mushrooms to this dish, not traditional but really good.
