Ingredients For carne asada

- MARINADE:

4garlic cloves, minced

1jalapeño chile pepper, seeded and minced

1teaspoon freshly ground cumin seed (best to lightly toast the seeds first, then grind them)

1large handful fresh cilantro, leaves and stems, finely chopped (great flavor in the stems)

2limes, juiced

2oranges juiced

1lemon juiced
-
2 Tbspwhite vinegar

1/2 tspsugar
How To Make carne asada

1COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS IN A 1-GALLON ZIPLOC BAG; CLOSE AND MIX WELL. ADD BEEF (RANCHERA). MARINATE IN BAG UP TO 24 HOURS TURNING AND MASSAGING MEAT FREQUENTLY. GRILL TO MEDIUM-WELL. CUT MEAT INTO 1/2" SLICES (OR CUBES) AGAINST THE GRAIN. SERVE WITH TORTILLAS, MEXICAN RICE AND BEANS. GARNISH WITH LIME WEDGES AND CILANTRO.
