Ingredients For cantonese celery and beef slivers

  • 2 c
    celery cut diagonally
  • 1 lb
    sirloin or other tender steak
  • 2 Tbsp
    oil
  • 1/2 c
    thinly sliced onion
  • 1/3 clove
    soy sauce
  • 1/4 c
    red wine
  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    water
  • 1 tsp
    salt

How To Make cantonese celery and beef slivers

  • 1
    Cut meat into very thin slices. Fry until browned in deep fat. Drain well on paper towels. Heat oil in skillet. Add celery and onion and saute 3 minutes. Add meat along with remaining ingredients mixed together. Mix thoroughly and cook 1-2 minutes.
