This is an old favorit.There are so many ways to make this.This is my take on this. When i do make this I have a habbit ofchanging it some way.

Ingredients For bob's mulligan stew..

6-8 slicebacon
-
2 lbbeef round steak,or chuck rost,(cut into 1 1/2 pieces.

1/2 cflour
-
3 Tbspoil,i just use the bacon drippings.

1 lgonion,(sliced).

4-5carrots,(sliced)
-
8-10 ozmushrooms, fresh,(sliced). your choice.

3 lgpotatoes (cubed)
-
2 1/2 cbeef stock
-
1 pkgdry onion soup mix
-
1/4 tspsalt and pepper
-
1 cancorn kernels,drained.

1 candiced tomatoes.
-
1 crice, long-grain/wild rice blend,uncooked

1 cangreen beans,drained
-
1 cangood old beer
How To Make bob's mulligan stew..

1You will need a large cast iron dutch oven. I use a 14" oven.Fry bacon till almost cooked through. Re move bacon and cut up,set a side. In a pie pan fill with flouer. coat cut up meat in flour and add to oven brown on all sides. Now add onion and stir with meat,(You may need to add oil).Add carrots,potatos,beer, and dry soup mix .Cover and simmer for abought 45 min. Over med heat.

2Uncover. Add remaning ingredients. Stir together. Put cover back on the oven. Simmer on med heat fo 30-45 min.,stir evey once in a wile. You may need to add stock or for me more beerif it gets to thick. I serve over mashed taters.
