Ingredients For beefy pot pie

1 lbground beef
-
1 canbeef with vegetables & barley soup

1/2 cwater
-
1 pkg10-oz. pkg frozen peas & carrots, thawed and drained

1/2 tspsalt
-
1/8 tspgarlic powder
-
1/8 tspcoarsely ground black pepper
-
1 cchedddar cheese, shredded (or your choice of cheese)

1 canfrench-fried onion rings
-
1pkg refrigerated biscuits
How To Make beefy pot pie

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large skillet, brown ground beef leaving some chunks. Drain well on paper towels.

2Return beef to pan and add soup, water, peas and carrots, and seasonings. Bring mixture to a boil; then reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for approx. 5 minutes.

3Remove skillet from heat and stir in 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 can french-fried onion rings.

4Pour mixture into a greased 12 x 8 baking dish. Cut each biscuit in half and place halves, cut side down, around the edge of the casserole. Bake, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes or until biscuits are done.

5Top with remaining cheese and french-fried onions - bake an additional 5 minutes or until onions are golden brown.
