Ingredients For beef stroganoff

3/4 to 1 lbsirloin steak, cut into strips

1 cfresh mushrooms, sliced

1/2 conions, finely chopped

1 cloveminced garlic

2 Tbspbutter or oil

2beef bouillon cubes or beef broth packets

1/2 cboiling water
-
1 Tbsptomato paste
-
1/2 tspdry mustard
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
1/4 tsppepper

1 Tbspflour
-
1/4 cwater
-
1/2 csour cream
-
rice or noodles
How To Make beef stroganoff

1In large skillet, saute mushrooms, onions and garlic in 1 tbls. butter until golden brown. Remove from skillet.

2Add remaining butter and brown meat on all sides for appx. 15 minutes.

3Dissolve beef broth in boiling water, add to meat and add tomato paste, mustard and salt and pepper. Simmer 45 minutes until tender.**

4Add mushroom mix. Combine flour and water and pour into meat mixture, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil and thickens.

5Reduce heat. Stir in sour cream. Heat again but don't boil. Serve over rice or noodles.

6** At this point, you can add the mushroom mix and transfer to a crock pot and allow to simmer until beef is tender. Follow the rest of the recipe, keeping it in the crock pot.
