Ingredients For beef stew with sauerkraut and sausage

5 slicebacon

2 lblean stew beef cut into 1in. cubes

2onions finely chopped

5cloves of garlic minced

1 Tbspcaraway seeds

1 tspsalt

1/2 tspcracked black pepper

2 Tbspgin

1 Tbspall purpose flour

1 cdry white wine
-
1/2 cundiluted condensed beef broth

4 cdrained and rinsed sauerkraut

1 lbkielbasa sausage cut into 1/4in. slices

How To Make beef stew with sauerkraut and sausage

1in skillet cook bacon over med-high heat until crisp. lay on paper towel. crumble and set aside. drain all but 2 tbls. from pan.

2add beef in batches to brown, transfer to slow cooker with a slotted spoon.

3reduce heat to medium. add onions and cook and stir until soft. Add garlic, caraway seeds, salt, pepper,and bacon. cook stirring for 1 minute.sprinkle flour over mixture and cook, stirring another minute. add gin, wine and beef broth cook, stirring until mixture thickens. stir in sauerkraut.

4add mixtur to slow cooker, stir until all combined. cook on low 8-10 hours or high 4-5 hours or beef is tender. stir in sausage and cook on high 15 minuted or sausage is heated through. top servings with a dollip of sour cream.
