These shish kebabs are best when marinated for at least 12 hours.

Ingredients For beef shish kebab

  • 2 lb
    round steak or stew meat
  • 2 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 1 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 2/3 c
    soy sauce
  • 1/3 c
    lemon juice
  • 1/3 c
    vegetable, corn, or canola oil
  • tomatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms

How To Make beef shish kebab

  • 1
    If using round steak, cut into 1/4" strips, if using stew meat, cut into bite size chunks.
  • 2
    Place meat in a shallow non-aluminum pan or a large plastic baggie. Combine spices, soy sauce, lemon juice and oil; add to meat. Marinate overnight.

    Assemble kebabs on metal or bamboo skewers alternating meat with vegetables. Grill kebabs over medium hot coals or on a gas grill for 3-4 minutes on each side brushing with marinade once.
