You will get more delicious beef stir fry and a good flavor of pepper sauce from cracked black peppercorns.

Ingredients For beef black pepper

  • 1 lb
    beef tenderloin
  • 2 Tbsp
    corn starch
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    shiaoxing rice cooking wine
  • 1 tsp
    ground black pepper
  • 1
    red bell pepper
  • 1
    green bell pepper
  • 1 sm
    onion
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp
    grated ginger
  • 1
    scallion. chopped
  • 3 Tbsp
    peanut oil
  • FOR SAUCE:
  • ½ c
    beef stock, unsalted
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    oyster sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    rice vinegar
  • 1½ Tbsp
    honey
  • ½ tsp
    sesame oil
  • 1¼ tsp
    ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    corn starch

How To Make beef black pepper

  • Marinate the meat
    1
    Cut the beef into size bite, place in a medium bowl and marinate with soy sauce, corn starch, cooking wine and black pepper. Set aside.
  • Bite size veggies

    Cut bell peppers and onion into bite size, set aside.
  • Sauce mixture

    Combine all sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Cook and brown the meat

    Heat 2 Tbsp peanut oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium high heat. Cook and brown both side of the beef for 2 minute per side. Transfer the meat to plate lined with paper towel, set aside.

    In the same skillet, add the rest of peanut oil. Cook minced garlic and grated ginger for 1 minute until fragrant. Add onion, bell peppers and chopped scallion, cook and stir for another 1 minute. Add sauce into a skillet, stir until sauce bubble and thickened. Put the meat back to a skillet, cook and stir for another 1-2 minutes until sauce bubble. Turn the heat off.
  • Serve with rice

    Serve immediately with rice.
