Ingredients For beef and green beans stir fry

  • ½ lb
    beef tenderloin, cut into bite size
  • ½ lb
    fresh green beans
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    chinese rice cooking wine
  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp
    grated ginger
  • 2 Tbsp
    peanut oil
  • FOR SAUCE:
  • ¼ c
    beef stock, unsalted
  • ¼ c
    teriyaki marinate sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • ½ Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh lime juice
  • ½ tsp
    chili oil
  • 1 pinch
    chili flakes (optional)
  • salt for blanching green beans

How To Make beef and green beans stir fry

    In a medium bowl, marinate the beef with soy sauce, cooking wine and cornstarch. Set aside.

    Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl, set aside.

    Blanch green beans in a pot of salted boiling water for a minute. Drain and transfer into a bowl of ice water. Set aside.

    Heat the oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium high heat. Brown the beef for 1 minute each side. Transfer to a plate and set aside.

    Cook garlic and ginger in the same skillet, add green beans and stir for a minute. Then add the beef and the sauce. Cook and stir until sauce is bubbling. Turn the heat off. Sprinkle with chili flakes.

    Serve immediately.
