1 to 1-1/2 lbstew beef

salt and black pepper

10 clovegarlic

8 ozfresh baby carrots

1 lbroma tomatoes, chopped

1 can(6 oz.) tomato paste with basil, garlic, and oregano

1/2 cwater
How To Make beef and carrot stew

1Place beef in 4-qt. slow cooker. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

2Smash garlic cloves with the flat side of a chef's knife. Separate and discard garlic skins. Place smashed garlic on beef. Add carrots and tomatoes to slow cooker.

3In a medium bowl, whisk together tomato paste and water. Pour over meat and vegetables. Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours, or on LOW for 6 to 8 hours. Stir well before serving. Serve with mashed potatoes.
