basil fried rice with ground beef

Since I had some sweet basil and Thai basil in my herb pots, I decided to utilize these ingredients in this Asian rice dish. The sesame seed oil is a great flavor along with the fresh basil leaves. I have a rice cooker and I cooked it with jasmine rice, rinsing it first a couple of times before adding it to the cooker. This makes plenty of rice. If you don’t have fresh basil leaves, you may substitute with dried basil, Being careful not to use too much. The Thai basil is a bit spicy, so not much is needed. If you don’t have sesame seed oil, you can always use canola oil. Aroma was fragrant.
