My grandchildren love these meatball and request them frequently I also omit the sauce and use the meatballs for spaghetti and meatballs.

Ingredients For baked barbecued meat balls

    egg slightly beaten
  • 1
    5 oz. evaporated milk
  • 1 c
    quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1-1/2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • BARBECUE SAUCE
  • 1 c
    ketchup
  • 3/4 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp
    liquid smoke (may omit)
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder

    Meanwhile combine BBQ Sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil,reduce heat,simmer for 2 min.,stirring frequently. Pour over meatballs and Bake an additional 10-12 min. (I sometimes double sauce ingredients)
