One of my favorites! It's simple, cheap, and good. I serve with mashed potatoes and a steamed veg. In a pinch I've also used Cream of Mushroom soup.

Ingredients For aurora's salisbury steak

1 lbground beef

1envelope onion soup mix
-
1/4 citalian bread crumbs

1egg
-
1 clovegarlic, minced

2 cbeef stock
-
4 Tbspheinz 57 (or substitute ketchup)

2 Tbspworcestershire sauce

10 ozfresh mushrooms, sliced

1/4 csour cream
How To Make aurora's salisbury steak

1In a medium bowl mix together ground beef, onion soup mix, egg, bread crumbs, and garlic. Shape mixture into 6 patties.

2In a skillet brown patties over medium heat, just until juices run clear. Remove to plate.

3Saute mushrooms in pan. After they are browned add beef stock, Heinz 57, and Worcestershire. Stirring often, simmer until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream. Add patties back into pan to reheat in sauce. Serve over mashed potatoes or egg noodles.
