Ingredients For amy's sensational salisbury steak

2 lblean ground chuck

2 tsponion powder

2 tspgarlic powder

1 tspsalt

1/4 tspground, black pepper

1 Tbspdehydrated onion flakes

1 smgreen pepper, very finely minced (i put in the food processor)

1 ccracker crumbs, very finely ground

1 lgegg
-
2 pkgbrown gravy mix or enough to make 2 cups

1/2 Tbspbrowning sauce, such as kitchen bouquet
-
sauteed mushrooms and onions (optional)
How To Make amy's sensational salisbury steak

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Rehydrate onion flakes by just covering them with hot water and soaking them until all the water is absorbed.

3In a large mixing bowl, add the ground chuck, onion powder, rehydrated onions, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and minced green pepper, cracker crumbs, and egg. Mix until thoroughly combined.

4Shape the meat mixture into 8 oval shaped patties. Refrigerate until ready to use.

5In a small sauce pan, prepare the gravy according to package directions. Mix in 1/2 Tbsp. browning sauce.

6Brown patties in large, lightly greased, Iron skillet, over medium heat. When steaks are thoroughly browned, Remove from pan. Drain of grease.

7Return steaks to pan, and Pour gravy over them.

8Place skillet in the oven. Bake at 350 degrees, uncovered for 30 minutes.

9Serve along side cooked rice or mashed potatoes and a cooked vegetable. You can also add sauteed mushrooms and/or onions to the gravy if desired.
