Ingredients For all-bran chili

1 lbground chuck

1 lgonion, chopped

1 lggreen pepper, chopped

1 can(28 oz.) tomatoes or tomato chunks

1 can(14 oz.) tomato sauce

4 tspchili powder
-
1/4 tspgarlic powder
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
1/8 tspblack pepper
-
1 can(19 oz.) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

1 ckellogg's all-bran original cereal
How To Make all-bran chili

1In a large saucepan, cook hamburger with onion and green pepper until meat is brown, stirring frequently. Drain fat.

2Add the tomatoes; break into chunks if whole. Stir in the tomato sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix well. Add beans and bring to a boil.

3Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4Mix in the cereal and cook about 10 minutes longer, stirring frequently.

5Serve with cornbread and a green salad, if desired.
