5I made an onion gravy which was really good. I took one onion, chopped it up, sauted it in a fry pan with some butter until soft, not brown, added 1/4 cup of flour to the butter and onions, stirred for about 1 to 2 minutes, then added 2 1/2 cups of chicken stock. Simmered that for 10 minutes or so, added 1/4 cup of heavy cream, simmered until thickened, and then I added some fresh pepper and put the mixture in a blender to chop up the onions more. Put it back into the saucepan for about 5 minutes or until the gravy thickened to the consistency I wanted. Husband loved it.
