The whole family has always loved this recipe from the 60's. Leftovers make great cold or warm sandwichs. My daughter always said make a recipe the first time as is then add your own tweeks later if need be. So try to use all the ingredients. :)

Ingredients For a favorite meatloaf (1960)

  • 2 lb
    ground beef low fat
  • 1 c
    saltine crumbs (processed in food processor)
  • 1 1/4 c
    milk
  • 1
    egg - beaten
  • 1/4 c
    finely chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    soy sauce, low sodium
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp
    fresh ground pepper
  • 2 clove
    garlic, pressed

How To Make a favorite meatloaf (1960)

    Mix all ingredients together then add the meat and mixing lightly (so you don’t toughen it). You can shape into a loaf on a cookie sheet (with sides) lined with parchment paper. Cook uncovered at 350º for 1 hour if using (cookie sheet) or so. For the last ½ hour of cooking slather on Ketchup which thickens during cooking time and tastes great
