Ingredients For 5 b's casserole

  • BISCUITS:
  • 3 c
    bisquick mix
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2/3 c
    milk
  • 1/4 c
    molasses
  • MEAT MIXTURE:
  • 1 to 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 2 lb
    can of pork & beans or chili beans
  • 1 c
    finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 c
    molasses
  • 1/4 c
    ketchup
  • 1 c
    shredded cheese

How To Make 5 b's casserole

    Meat Mixture: In a cast iron skillet or other large skillet, brown ground beef; drain. Add beans, onion, molasses and ketchup; mix well. Bring mixture to a boil; remove from heat and cover to keep warm. Set aside. --- Biscuits; Combine ingredients until soft dough forms; if sticky add a little Bisquick. Place on surface sprinkled with Bisquick mix. Knead the dough 10 times. Roll dough out to 12x9-inch rectangle. Spread 3/4 cup warm meat mixture over dough. Sprinkle with cheese evenly. Starting with longer side, roll up; cut into twelve 1-inch slices. Pour remaining hot meat mixture into a greased 13x9-inch baking dish ; or place on to of remaining mixture in the cast iron skillet. Place biscuit slices on hot mixture in baking dish forming 3 rows of 4 biscuits each. Bake at 400^ for 20-25 minutes until biscuits are browned and bean mixture is bubbly.
