Ingredients For sticky piggy bun sandwich

  • 2 1/2 lb
    6 boneless tenderized pork chops or pork cutlets (about 2 1/2lbs
  • 1/4 c
    soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp
    honey
  • 1/4 c
    sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp
    rice vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp
    ginger
  • 1/4 tsp
    coarse ground dijon mustard
  • 3 lg
    naan flatbreads
  • 1/4 c
    red pepper strips or yellow pepper rings, drained
  • FOR SLAW
  • 3 c
    finely shredded purple cabbage
  • 1 c
    finely diced celery
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp
    honey
  • 3 Tbsp
    sesame oil
  • 3 Tbsp
    rice vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp
    toasted sesame seeds

How To Make sticky piggy bun sandwich

    In a large resealable plastic bag, mix the meat marinade ingredients: soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic,rice wine vinegar, ginger and mustard. Place the tenderized pork in the bag. Seal and massage slightly then place in flat pan in refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.

    To prepare slaw,place shredded purple cabbage, celery, soy sauce,honey, sesame oil and rice vinegar in a large bowl and toss well. Cover and refrigerate at least fifteen minutes, then add sesame seeds and toss well. Set aside.

    Grill marinated pork over medium high heat, until pork is cooked through , turning about three times. Pork should be well-coated with sticky sauce.

    Heat naan slightly on grill or in oven to soften. Cut each naan into four pieces. Place a few pepper rings on one piece of naan, then top with a Sticky Pork. Using a slotted spoon, top the pork with a mound of sesame slaw. Top with another piece of naan. Repeat for remaining sandwiches.
