Ingredients For spicy chicken chow mein

1 Tbspcanola oil

1 1/2 lbchicken breasts, boneless and skinless, cut into 1" pieces

4 lgcarrots, thinly sliced

4green onions, sliced including green portions

3celery stalks, sliced

1 mdgreen pepper, coursely chopped

1 cchicken broth, reduced sodium

1 Tbspmaple syrup
-
1/3 csoy sauce, low sodium

1/4 tspcrushed red pepper flakes

1/4 tspground ginger
-
1 clovegarlic, minced

8 ozcan, bean sprouts

8 ozcan, sliced water chestnuts

1/4 ccornstarch
-
1/2 cwater
How To Make spicy chicken chow mein

1Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and cook until brown. Put in crock pot. Add remaining ingredients, except cornstarch and water; stir to combine. Cover; cook on low 6 to 8 hours.

2Turn to high. In small bowl, stir cornstarch into cold water until dissolved. Stir into liquid in crock pot. Place cover slightly ajar on crock pot. Cook until thickened (15 to 30 minutes). Serve with cooked rice or Raman noodles with chow mein noodles, if desired.
