Ingredients For chinese chicken
-
4boneless skinless chicken thighs (breast can be used as well)
-
1/3 csoy sauce
-
1/3 cbrown sugar
-
1/2 cwater
-
1 clovegarlic
-
1 Tbspketchup
-
1 Tbsponion powder
-
1/4 capple juice
-
1 tspred pepper flakes
-
2 Tbspcornstarch
-
2 Tbspwater
-
brown or white rice
How To Make chinese chicken
-
1Preheat oven to 350. Brown chicken in a medium skillet (I use cast iron) until cooked through but don't over cook. Remove from heat. Mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour over the chicken.
-
2Place the skillet in the oven and bake for 30 minutes, stirring the sauce every 10 minutes. In the mean time, whisk together the cornstarch and water.
-
3Remove from oven, take the chicken out and set aside, bring the sauce up to a simmer and whisk in the cornstarch mixture until thick. Place the chicken back in the skillet until warm, slice and serve over rice.
-
4NOTE: You can also use bone in chicken (thighs, legs and breasts are excellent).
