Ingredients For asian chicken salad

  • 1
    rotisserie chicken, shredded (use about half)
  • 1 bunch
    romaine lettuce, torn into bite size pieces
  • 3-4
    green onions, chopped with greens
  • 3-4
    stalks celery, chopped
  • 1/3 c
    slivered almonds, toasted
  • 3 Tbsp
    sesame seeds, toasted
  • 1/2 pkg
    wonton wrappers
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    accent
  • 1 tsp
    pepper
  • 3/4 c
    oil
  • 1/2 c
    cider vinegar

How To Make asian chicken salad

    First: lightly fry wonton wrappers. Watch carefully because they fry quickly. Set aside, you put them on the salad right before serving. This takes the longest so do this earlier and try to keep from snacking on them until everything else is ready. The cook time in recipe is for cooking wrappers only. Toast almonds and sesame seeds in frying pan or under broiler, again these will burn watch and stir. You can find them already toasted but are quite expensive. Mix all salad ingredients,including chicken. Mix all dressing ingredients together in blender and mix well. When ready to serve pour dressing over salad and toss. Crush wontons over salad just before serving.

    Enjoy it all because the wontons will get mushy and not good leftover. Use the other half of chicken for another meal.
