Ingredients For low-calorie boiled brussels sprouts

  • 1 qt. brussels sprouts (prepared for cooking)
  • 1 1/2 C. boiling water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tbs. lemon juice (may substitute tarragon vinegar)
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg

How To Make low-calorie boiled brussels sprouts

    Place sprouts in a saucepan with water and salt. Cover and boil gently for 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain, then season with pepper, lemon juice and nutmeg; serve.
