This easy make-at-home version of Jamaican Jerk Chicken is a great way to introduce kids to mild spices. Serve with rice and coleslaw.
1 cup chopped yellow onion
1 cup chopped green onion
1/4 cup lime juice
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1 tsp chopped fresh thyme
2 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp chopped ginger
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1 1/2 tsp ground allspice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
4 lbs skin-on bone-in chicken pieces
1 tsp salt
