2 lbs beef stew meat

1-2 tablespoons olive oil

salt and pepper to season meat
•
2 tablespoons flour
•
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
•
1-2 cloves garlic, chopped
•
2 1/2 cups chicken or beef broth
•
1 large onion, 2 cups chopped, 1 inch pieces
•
2 stalks celery- 1 cup chopped into one inch pieces
•
1 lb bag baby carrots
•
2 lbs potatoes, red, white or russets, cleaned, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes
•
1 14 oz can chopped tomatoes or 2 cups chopped tomatoes with juice
•
1 tablespoon beef seasoning or 2 beef bullion cubes (I look for no MSG included)
•
1 teaspoon each, salt and pepper
•
2 tablespoons dried parsley
•
1 teaspoon each dried thyme and oregano
•
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional)
