INGREDIENTS

2 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder
•
1 teaspoon salt
•
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter, at room temperature
•
3/4 cup sugar
•
1/3 cup honey
•
2 teaspoons vanilla
•
2 eggs, at room temperature
•
1 egg yolk, at room temperature
•
3/4 cup buttermilk, at room temperature.

Honey Caramel Drizzle:
•
1/2 cup honey
•
1/4 cup brown sugar
•
1/4 cup butter
•
1/2 cup natural sliced almonds, lightly toasted (for garnish).
•
While the cake is in the oven, you can make the drizzle.
•
Combine the honey, brown sugar and butter in a small saucepan, bring to a full boil
•
over medium heat, stirringvery frequently.
•
Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
•
Serve warm or at room temperature.
