"These delicious golden brown pretzels make a fabulous snack for a game day gathering or party, and they're really not that difficult to prepare. Just have ingredients and utensils ready and follow the steps carefully. Serve the pretzels with a your favorite whole grain or gourmet mustard, or serve with Grainy Mustard Dip. I used my stand mixer to knead the dough, but this dough may be kneaded by hand. It will be quite stiff...."

INGREDIENTS
1 cup warm water, about 105° to 110°
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
2 teaspoons sugar
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, about 15 1/2 ounces (spoon and sweep method if you don't have scales)
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 1/2 to 3 quarts water
2/3 cup baking soda
coarse salt, for sprinkling
