3/4 cup unbleached flour

1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

1 cup sugar
•
1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
•
1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
•
3 egg whites
•
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or try mint!)
•
1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional. Keep in mind that adding nuts will not keep it fat free)
