This is Kenny's and Dad's favorite cookie. I received this recipe from Grandma Burgess. Bake 10-15 minutes

Ingredients For butterfingers

  • 3/4 c
    butter, at room temperature
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    water
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 pinch
    salt
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 2 c
    confectioners' sugar

How To Make butterfingers

    In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together. Add water, vanilla and salt, mix. Add the flour and mix. Add pecans and mix, mixture will be crumbly.

    Use a cookie scoop to measure the dough then divide the scoop into half and roll into a finger shape (2 cookies from one cookie scoop) Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 10 minutes.

    Put the powdered sugar in a bowl or container. While the cookies are hot, roll in the powdered sugar being careful not be break(I usually end up eating the broken ones :)) Make sure you let them cool before storing them.
