This is just regular mashed potatoes but we used to make a big batch of them a lot! Don't forget the rules. The first person to say that there's lumps is the person who makes them the next time!

Ingredients For mashed potatoes

  • 5 lb
    potatoes, peeled, quartered
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 8 Tbsp
    margarine
  • to taste
    salt and pepper

How To Make mashed potatoes

  • 1
    Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 15-20 minutes.When they easily break apart with a fork, then they’re ready. Drain and return potatoes to pot.

    Use a potato masher to mash potatoes until smooth. Add margarine and milk, stir until completely combined and creamy. Season mashed potatoes with salt and pepper.
