I love this smoothie! I was trying to find a way to use some of the wheat germ I purchased to make homemade granola and thought of this. It is thick and sweet with a little tang from the orange. Very refreshing and a great kick start to your morning.

Ingredients For strawberry sunrise oatmeal smoothie

3/4 cyogurt, low-fat, plain

10frozen strawberries

1 mdbanana in chunks

2 Tbspoj, freshly squeezed (about 1/2 orange)

2 Tbspwheat germ

1/4 cprepared quick oats

2packets splenda brown sugar
-
6ice cubes for glass (optional)

1 dashcinnamon
How To Make strawberry sunrise oatmeal smoothie

1Put yogurt and berries into blender and pulse to break up frozen berries. Add OJ, banana, oatmeal, wheat germ and splenda packets and pulse till desired consistency. Sprinkle a dash of cinnamon on top and serve.

2This will be a little thick. Serve over ice to keep cold and to thin out smoothie as it melts. If you wish to thin it out more, you can add a splash of milk or water or use fresh strawberries.
