strawberry, blackberry and oatmeal smoothie

Smoothies are sometimes given the cold shoulder. They are such a good way to get in fruits and protein, keeping you filled up till lunch. While dabbling around with a recipe, I came up with this. This is a bit on the thick side and used water instead of some of the ice because the fruit was frozen.

Ingredients For strawberry, blackberry and oatmeal smoothie

1/2 csoy milk (i used low fat milk)

1/4 cprepared quick oatmeal

1/2banana
-
7frozen strawberries
-
7frozen blackberries
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-
1 Tbspsugar or splenda
-
1 1/3 cwater
-
5ice cubes
How To Make strawberry, blackberry and oatmeal smoothie

1Place ice cubes in blender and pulse to break them up. Add strawberries, pulse, blackberries, pulse, add milk and oatmeal, pulse and add banana, water, vanilla and splenda. Blend till smooth. If smoothie is a bit too thick, add additional water to mixture and blend.
