This easy and versatile sweet corn drink is refreshing and filling at the same time, it can be served hot or cold. It can be made using evaporated, condensed, almond or coconut milk. Ingredients For sweet corn drink

1/2 lb of hominy (dried uncooked corn)

5 cups water
-
3 sticks cinnamon

1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
-
1 1/2 cups condensed milk
-
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
-
3/4 - 1/2 cup sugar, brown, (or to taste)

1/2 tsp salt
-
ground nutmeg, garnish
How To Make sweet corn drink

1Put the corn in a bowl, cover with the 5 cups of water and let soak overnight in the fridge.

2Place a large pot on the stove on medium high heat; add the corn and the water it soaked in, cinnamon sticks and salt, stir and cook on medium-high for 45 minutes.

3When the kernels have softened, remove the pot from the heat and cool, for 10 minutes. Now add in the sugar, milk and vanilla extract stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.

4If serving hot or warm - garnish with nutmeg and serve right away. If serving cold - refrigerate for a few hours and when ready to serve, garnish with fresh ground nutmeg.
