Ingredients For sangria

two bottles spanish rioja, beaujolais nouveau, or other light dry red wine

4 oz. cognac

4 oz. grand marnier

1/2 cup sugar

2 large apple, cored, peeled and sliced

3 peaches, pitted and sliced

2 liters club soda, chilled
How To Make sangria

1Mix all ingredients except club soda and transfer to covered containers. Refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve, pour fruit mixture into 2 quart sized pitchers and top off each with a liter of club soda. Stir gently with a wooden spoon, and serve with spoons in the pitchers. Guests can use the spoon to hold back the solids when filling their glasses or to scoop our a slice or two of fruit. Serves 14 to 16 Hot Toddies
