Every year I buy mulling spice for hot cider and cocktails. I found a recipe that tastes the same as the store bought, but costs a fraction of the price.

3 cbrown sugar

1 1/2 Tbspcinnamon

1 Tbsporange peel

1 Tbspground clove

1 Tbspallspice

3/4 Tbspground nutmeg
How To Make mulling spice

1Mix all ingredients together.

2Store in an airtight container.

3Use 1/4 to 1/2 C to your batch of cider or mulled wine. If making a cup or two of cider, I would start with a teaspoon of mulling spice and add more to taste.
