Lassi or yogurt drink is an authentic drink from the State 'Punjab' in India. The people there welcome guests with a large glassful of lassi. Lassi is a healthy drink and is useful for digestion. I am providing two recipes here - one sweet and the other salted lassi. It's super simple to prepare.

Ingredients For lassi / yogurt drink

  • 2 c
    plain yogurt or plain curd
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    roasted cumin
  • 1/2 c
    water, cold

How To Make lassi / yogurt drink

    For the sweet lassi, whip in a mixer grinder, 1 cup yogurt, sugar and 1/4th cup water till a nice froth surfaces. You can also add ice if you would like it really cold before whipping [as we do it here in Delhi].

    Pour in a glass and enjoy the sweet lassi with a dash of lemon.

    For the salted lassi, whip in a mixer grinder, 1 cup yogurt, salt and 1/4th cup water till a nice froth surfaces. You can also add ice if you would like it really cold before whipping [as we do it here in Delhi].

    Pour in a glass and garnish with roasted and pounded cumin seeds.
