iced mint & lemongrass water

There is nothing more refreshing than a ice cold glass of chilled water. Please make this simple drink your own, if you prefer it sweeter add more honey; if you like it softer and more subtle tasting add more water.

Ingredients For iced mint & lemongrass water

  • 3 stalk
    lemongrass, wash, dry, gently crush and coarsely chop, 2 inch pieces
  • 1/4
    inch piece, ginger, thinly sliced
  • 3 sprig
    mint, lightly crushed
  • 1 sm
    cinnamon stick
  • 3 c
    boiling water
  • 1/4 c
    honey (or your preference)
  • 1/2
    cucumber, unpeeled, washed, cut into thin ribbions
  • lime slices, garnish
  • mint sprigs, garnish
  • ice cubes

How To Make iced mint & lemongrass water

    Into a heat proof jug add the prepared lemongrass, ginger slices, mint sprigs and cinnamon stick, stir to mix.

    Next pour in the boiling water and honey; mix well and add the cucumber ribbons.

    Leave on the counter and allow the ingredients to steep until the water comes to room temperature.

    Place in fridge and chill until ready to serve.

    Strain the flavored water and pour into ice cubes filled glasses. Garnish with a lime slice and a sprig of mint.
