Ingredients For chocolate frappe

2 cups light brown sugar

1 vanilla pod

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 1/4 cups boiling water

4 cups crushed ice

2 limes
How To Make chocolate frappe
-
1Put the sugar, vanilla pod, and water in a pan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Sift the cocoa into a small bowl. Remove the syrup from the heat and pour enough of the syrup into the cocoa to make a paste. Stir until there are no lumps then add the rest of the syrup a little at a time. Stir until smooth. Keep vanilla pod in the mixture. Let cool, then chill in the refrigerator. Strain the syrup when chilled. Fill 4 tall glasses with the crushed ice. Pour the syrup over the crushed ice and finish with a squeeze of lime juice. Serve at once. Serves 4 The Golden Book of Chocolate
